Just interested if any one has used the dream pot and what they think of it?

Hi Ian,
We would not be without ours. I should get my wife to tell you but as she is out shopping I will have do. We do roasts, veggies cakes, sausages, hot meat and also use it to keep food cold. The thing we like about the dream pot compared to the cobb is we can put a roast on(meat veggies potatoes etc.., leave it in the trailer for the day come back at night and eat tea. When travelling long distances we put lunch or tea on while we have breaky then put it in the back of the car. When we arrive at what ever time, we set up
camp and sit down and eat a nice hot meal with no work. If we go out on a cold day we put frankfurts, sausages or hot roast rolls etc in it and have a nice hot lunch. My wife has even bought a hot meal down onto the jetty for me when the fish are biting
well. Once cooking no external heat and it doesn't burn if it is in to long, have left ours about 8 hrs and was still hot but not burnt Personal preference I guess but the dream pot is more versatile than people think. My mum uses it
home if she is out all day but has people over for tea.
If you want the real info ask my wife how good they are, she recommends them to everyone.

Ian,
We bought ours at the last
Adelaide C/Van & camping show. At this stage only have used at
home, Thai curries, lamb shanks, irish stew and a cake.
Pretty impressed.
However, in my opinion it needs a thick base, as it does not matter how much are you take, it gets hot and browns off.
There are other brands with thicker bottoms, but I think that they have other short comings.

Yes we like our dreampot, it cooks the best corned silverside ever!
Great scones, roast chicken, yummy meatballs,casseroles, fluffy rice, just to mention a few of our favourites. And is excellent just to keep things warm, eg. bbq.
Good to put meal on in morning, leave safely in caravan and ready when get back after a full day of sightseeing.

Our next door neighbours at the CP in
Kununurra had one and loved it - they'd had it for quite some years. They used to do things like corned beef while they were at work all day. We looked into them, and found that the Thermos Shuttle Chef was probably better quality, but also dearer. They are quite dear for a cooking pot, and i decided i still prefer to
cook a meal on the gas which i can do quite quickly rather than purchase yet another thing to find room for. Some caravanners said they would prefer a pressure cooker to
cook quickly when they stop, rather than thinking about preparing the meal in the morning.

Hi all,
we use our dream pot almost every day, at
home, camping, travelling. It does everything except spoon feed you. I've used it on hot coals, open fires, gas stoves and the elecric glass top at
home. End up with the perfect meal every time. The fact that everything stays hot for up to 8 hours (and doesn't overcook) is really great. I just wish I had bought the largest one available, the extra $ is worth it.
