G'day, I am trying to track down John Brown Combat socks, khaki, size 7-11. The shop I used to get them from says that the factory in Kyneton has closed down. Does anybody know where I can get some, please. These socks are the best I have come across for bush walking and working, stand up to industrial dryers etc with out shrinking. If I can't find any, then the search will begin for a replacement........sounds like fun. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the factory is under receivership? Make some inquiries....you might be able to buy the business or at least pick up old stock.... boxes and boxes of them.

Found this website: John Brown Sox

I just have black socks. Mainly explorers... but always black. Therefore I don't need to have them in pairs. I just reach into my draw, I don't even need to turn on the light, cos they always match. Well.... sometimes one is longer than the other.

Good luck.

LOL, I tend to do the same. I use Explorers but have found that the Explorer Copper Comfort the best as they keep your feet fungal and odour free. They arent overly hot either which I find good.

Hi John:

If your search for John Brown proves unsuccessful, try looking at these Wilderness Wear socks. I "discovered" them on a trip a few years back and don't wear anything else now.

Not really .... I cut a pretty fine figure in just my WW socks. Or at least Angelina Jolie said so when I saw her last ....
