G'Day all - Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Iam looking at picking up a Bluetooth GPS to talk to my laptop running OziExpl. From what I have read the solar powered ones are the way to go.
Anyway is there anywhere in
Perth, (Eastern/Sth suburbs) that anyone would suggest taking a look at. If I knew exactly what i wanted i could get it online but iam still a bit undecided.
Any advice would be appeciated..

Buy a Globalsat BT 338 or 359 off Ebay but only off an Aussie seller
Usually much cheaper Has a 10hour battrey life and charges off fag lighter About $80 or less now
If u dont make sure u get a SIRFIII chipset

The Globalsat BT 338 is available from the
exploroz shop so as members we should suggest he purchase one from there (if that is what Colby eventually decides he wants). I think the main gist of Colbys post is that he wanted to go to a "real"
shop and see with his own eyes the available options for GPS units that connect to laptop. Ebay is good option if you know what you want...but not if you dont and get the wrong thing - hard to get replacement or money back (generally speaking).
Not sure why Doug T suggested a Nuvi - it is not suitable for requested purpose.
Cheers

Greg - Just got back from OctaPC. Thanks mate just what I was looking for and 15 mins from
home. Got the BT - 338 might have paid a few bucks more than online but its already out of the box and I know its what I want.
Thanks again.
