Further to post 64684..............................

I decided that I had better tidy up the whole schemozzle and got stuck into it this morning. Shortened a few overlength cables, slipped some black PVC pipe over the solenoid to battery cable and slid some larger PVC pipe over the cables (now tied with cable ties) to stop wiring rubbing on various parts of the engine.

I even reconnected all the right cables to the right terminals...lol

Methinks it looks a lot better now.

Thanks for all your kind advice in the previous post :-)

u also need some red sleeving for the white wire which attaches to the red wire...or is that a red wire which attaches to the white wire

I can't see the fuseable links anywhere though. What happens if one of the wires breaks the insulation between the battery and the firewall and touches a negative? Kerpuffffff..... and warm as toast

I am amazed getting this through from Coopers Creek camping area in the Thompson Valley Victoria. On a 'pay as you go' Next G modem.

Please go out immediately and place some conduit over that heavy wire going to the solenoid., if it rubs through on the fuel filter you will lose the vehicle in flames. please do it now. Eric.

Hope the sharp ends of the PVC pipe don't cut through the wiring and cause a fire or problem.

Should get some of that flexible Wiring cover from an Auto elec or S/Cheap so it will flex with the cables.

Maybe I should undo it all again. We wouldn't want homeless rats!!

The Digital Water Temp Gauge I am testing for a supplier who is thinking of adding it to his range of things that he makes. So its a prototype. No idea of cost.

I expect testing to be complete by the end of January.

Remind me towards that time and I will give you an update. You can buy similar units on Ebay for around $150

Ever heard of a "bus bar" Willie?

You can even get them real flash ones with inbuit fuses at each point.

Dont want you losing all power when you have to disconnect one of those babies, cause you know it will be the one at the bottom of that stack.

Not to mention all that resistance from those stack 'o' connectors.

When's your birthday? I'll send you up a pack of cable ties :-)

Righto, better get my smart a..e out of here, cheers mate.
