Interesting expedition that will cool you down a bit. I would love to have a go at driving one of those 4wd vehicles.

Kiwi, sounds brilliant.

Tinkering on the 4by in my workshop yesterday, called it a day when it hit 53 deg in the shed.

Sometimes I really miss those brutal southerlies we used to get back in Wellington.

Cheers......Lionel.

Was just in that website yesterday KK. They look like fun dont they. Those arctic trucks are built (they say) fro more than just snow and ice. Love to see how one goes up in the Vic High Country

Hi Bonz, The weathers a bit rough here today.Grey overcast, very strong wind, occasional showers and about 22 degrees. I think that those Arctic trucks will be a bit out of our price range and I am not sure if we could get them certified :-))

No thanks, I will take the heat any day

This last winter here in the Flinders was the coldest continuous weather I have experienced for a long time. So every year from 2009 will be spent in the sub tropics somewhere.

Hey Willem,
You know why it,s so cool ?
You must have forgotten Mr Rudd is starting to get that carbon trading into gear, to stop global warming.
It,s working !!
I,m very sceptical about this global warming, seeing that it all involves money.

Global warming has been happening since the ice age.

Regards Nick
