Happy new year all. I am searching the web for second hand off road campers eg kimberleys, aussie swag, ulitmates, Tvan. The only web sites I am familiar with are...trading post, ebay, explore oz, rv, cts. Can anyone suggest any other Australian web sites that I can search? Hey, does anyone want to sell an off roader for a reasonable price? thanks for ya help. Kathy

I would think that most of the 47 traders in the Campers_Trailers Section of this site would consider their prices reasonable. :-)

What type of offroader are you looking for, and where's your location?

Hi Andrew

opps, no malaice intented, this is one of my favourite sites for info, research and sales. I am in Kurrajong NSW. I would like a off roader that has the same wheel track as our 2007 swb Pajero.

The offroaders that have taken my interest are the Kimberley, Ulitmate and T van. The thing that scares "the heeby jeebys" out of me about these campers is the price.

cheers KK

I think you will find that in this particular market you really do "get what you pay for"!!! A low price will get you low quality. The outback is littered with broken campers - I know, I broke one!!!Start looking under the camper before you even bother looking at the tent section. A lot of manufacturers these days are producing so called off-road campers which are simply their on road version with heavier springs and shock absorbers. It is important that you check the whole build quality. The names you have mentioned are all fine, legitimate off-roaders - hence the price. I don't know if it still applies but I believe at one time Ultimate were offering their purchasers a guaranteed buy-back at 30% off what they paid for it. Given the type of work they are designed for, that is a huge sign of confidence by a manufacturer.

Hi Tavis, yep I have seen your ad. Great looking camper. I am looking at Kimberley Kampers in the price range between $20k to $25K. Of course they will not be as new or as well set up as yours. Good luck with the sale.

It tows nicely with my DiD Pajero ;-)
