Hi Ross,

If you are considering the Hema Navigator, why care about the other two.

If you still haven't made up your mind, the Garmin (Nuvi series) would be a better choice.

The advantage of the Hema Navigator is that it utilizes OziExplorer for Australia wide moving map navigation and saving of waypoints, tracks and routes, as well as Route 66 voice aided guidance for city navigation.

Did u do a search on the three names as this has been thrashed around on here endlessly and all the answers are there already.

From what I can make out Route 66 is not exactly the top of the line street navigator software

Rossco,

just did a search on the Hema Navigator and there are 18 recent posts. I remember one from last week that had some quite in depth replies from users. Search is your friend.

Cheers Mick

As has been mentioned here (and other places) before, get a Mio and "unlock" it with a download called miopocket. Then you can load Oziexplorer CE onto it along with any maps you have (HEMA etc), and have the best of both worlds.

I have found the Mio street navigation to be the best around. even if you have to buy Ozi CE and maps from scratch, you are still way ahead with a better and more useful product, and a t a better price!

just my two bobs worth - (from practical experience using this combination)

G'day Fred,

do a google search of "miopocket" and sift through it for a detailed answer to your question. I can tell you that it defiantely runs on my Mio C520, and I've read that it runs on the newer Mio Moovs.

here is an extract from the miopocket "readme" file....

"1.3 Device support

MioPocket should run on most Mio-brand devices. Support is excellent for the c320 and c520, very good for the c310x and c710, good for the c220 and c230, and it has been known to run on the c620, c720, c250 and 268+. Other devices may be able to run it, as well. In fact, despite the name, MioPocket should work (maybe with a little modification) on many non-Mio devices. There have a been a few reports of successful installation on Magellan and Navigon devices, for example. As far as I know, TomTom and Garmin devices cannot be unlocked."

Hope this is useful,

Just found the latest Miopocket here.

It looks even better than the one I've been using!
