Hi anyone know of a caravan park in
Perth close to
Joondalup that takes dogs and long term tenants. We are looking to go to
Perth in September. We are going to do some Uni courses there.

Hi Crow -
Joondalup is a city (10mins drive from me) and there are not any caravan parks nearby. In fact, there are only two CP north of the river in the whole of
Perth - one is Karrinyup Waters (located in a quiet section of the suburb of Gwelup) - not sure sorry if they take dogs, but give them a call. The other is probably a little closer to
Joondalup, but more inland and on a very busy road called Wanneroo Road (the suburb is probably called Madley? - the name of the park eludes me just now but I drive past it frequently and wonder how anyone could stay there. Maybe another local can fill in my blanks! there are a couple of other CPs in
Perth but they are quite a long way south of the river which puts them out of the question for
Joondalup on a daily basis. Hope I've been of some help!

Found the name - its Kingsway Tourist Park in Madeley, and I've just found a listing (google search) for one in Jacarada drive in Wanneroo (but I've never seen it myself sorry). Yes I forgot the best one of all - of course, Burns Beach is by far the best right on
the beach, not far from
Joondalup at all but it can be very very windy there.

I can find nomention of pets - but worth asking this one: Karrinyup Waters Resort comes highly recommended by other caravanners (i have not stayed there but my daughter has) and is close to train and bus transport.

I can't see any references to pet friendly parks in
Perth, but there may be parks suitable for you.

If you're likely to be staying a while (months) then it might be worth using Stayz.com.au to find a holiday
home to rent. I was surprised how decently priced some are when I had a look recently to book accommodation for visiting family guests. This may give you some more options than just the caravan parks.

Good idea Michelle - but may be hard to find one that allows dogs.
