Battery Prices

I'm due to buy another AGM for my rig. We've seen large battery price increases in last year or 2. Anyone able to predict what might happen to battery prices in the next few months? I wonder about steel prices as well. Any comments appreciated.

Kym,

I'm not into predicting pricing, some dills were predicting petrol to reach $2 a litre by the end of 2005.

But I can tell you this. I own two AGM's.

1. Premium (and priced accordingly) made in USA Lifeline
2. Budget (made in PRC) REMCO.

The REMCO has performed better and given me no grief.

Cheers,

Jim.

thanks Jim. I was intending to get Remco to match other one I have. Never read a bad word about them but gee they cost....

I've got two PRC 90 A/H AGM's from Super Charge (they are in every capital city). $165 each. Performing extremely well.

Cheers Mick

thanks Mick, should have stated I was intending to get Remco again. $165 not bad at all though.

Jd,

that price was exclusive of GST. Still the nearest equivilent was a name brand at $225 + GST which when I checked it, was made in China as well. Winner as far as I was concerned.

Cheers Mick

Mick,
Are you sure they are AGMs? I couldn't find any AGM batteries on the Supercharge website.

I also went for the Remco AGM from Whitworths.
