A mechanic friend who was to purchase spare belts and hoses this morning for me from Bursons was advised that there are no aftermarket belts and hoses available for my 2003 GU3.0TD as they are not being made yet and the only ones available at present are genuine Nissan ones.
Does anyone know if this is the case or are there alternatives – I am dreading asking Nissan for prices?

Good to get things at the cheapest price but keep in mind your warranty and the requirement to use genuine nissan parts. Could save you a head ache for the sake of a few dollars.

just a thought.

cheers

Darren,
You need a trade order, then order direct from mackay in Moorabin.
I could have got them for you but you leave this weekend.
I think Bursons get them from this source also.
Honest Clive ? never hear of him, give my regards to nick and tell I have a set of near new long travel GQ shocks available.

Check with Nissan first then try the aftermarket stores and I am sure that you will be able to get your belts with reasonable ease. I have a 4.2 TD GU Patrol and have had no trouble getting belts etc from the after market boys.

I just picked up a set of spare belts for my 2002 GU 4.2TD from Consolidated Bearings. The three belts cost me in total $62.71 vs $97.67 quoted from local Nissan dealer.

Worth a try - they have outlets nationally.
