New nuvi 760

G'day all, santa just dropped of a new nuvi 760 with a 4g sd card so I need a lot of help here. firstly is it possible to download all the maps n things into my desktop pc then into the sd card then insert card into gps all done? secondly is there an order of priority to load which & what maps into the unit & or card? I have read a lot of previous threads, some are a little confusing for an oldie, my area is Simpson, Uluru,nth Qld etc. thanks, regards, aussiedingo

is that one of the Nuvis that is ellegable for the free garmin Etrex?
could be worth looking into

Hi toyobits ..
You will need the "Mapsource" program on your computer first.
Then you can get other maps, either purchased - such as Oztopo or free one's such as "Shonky" or "Tracks 4 Australia" and use mapsource to load the maps on your card, for use in your Nuvi.
Have a look at thread no. 54311 for a step by step procedure, it should help. Get back to me, if you have any further questions.
