Hi Guys
Spent a few days at Bear Gully Vic (near Walkervile) after New Year. Thought I would share some thoughts on the place.
Pros: Secluded, quiet, remote, lots of wildlfe, beautiful
views, lovely sounds of the ocean, awesome coastal walks, and of course IT'S FREE :-)
Cons: No showers, no water, no real beach (all rocks), no fishing unless you are an experienced
rock hopper, gets busy so you need to get in early
Overall very enjoyable, great place to get away from it all, the regulars (it was our first time there) are friendly. I think the lack of luxuries (it is remote, doesnt have a beach, the fishing isn't great, and there are no showers or water), will stop this spot becoming SUPER popular, and that is a good thing.
The remoteness of the coast and the coastal walks are awesome.
Definatly planning to go again :-)
CAtch ya

Nice Place Shane - and not many free where you can
camp so close to water.
We even had fun on the mini 1km
beach drive from
boat launch area at Walkerville.
One of the best short walks in the area was down from the nearby
lighthouse to sea , but looks like its been overgrown or closed now.
