I am wanting to head down to Pemberton with the camper trailer and
camp along the warren river somewhere along the heartbreak trail. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me if its accessable with a camper trailer. I have a
well set up vehicle and reasonable experience. I see that trailers are not recomended in the tourist literature but from reading some old
blogs it seems that others have towed caravans in there.

Hi Robert,
Yep, a 2WD towing a camper trailer will get you virtually anywhere along Heartbreak Trail itself. The
river crossing does need a bit of ground clearance due to the rocks, but the water will be minimal at this time of year. Some of the side tracks down to the river off the trail can get slightly interesting, but if you are using the 100 series in your profile, you should consider selling it if you manage to get that stuck ;)
Cheers

Thanks Captain, thats what I wanted to hear. Looks like the plan for australia day is fishing for redfin and sucking back a few little crearures.

Mate, if you plan on doing that for the Australia Day long weekend, half of
Perth has the same idea - I for one will be down there too, but will be camped around
Big Brook Dam.
We (WC4WD club) go down on the Thursday to try and get a spot and still often end up in the overflow
camping area. The Heartbreak trail, Yeagerup dunes,
Warren River crossing, Calcup
Hill etc... will need traffic lights that weekend :(
Cheers

Bugga, I new it would be busy but hadn't figured on it being that crowded. I thought I'd beat the crowds by getting there Friday, hahaha. Looks like I might have to re-think my plans.
cheers

Robert,
if by the terminology "few little crearures" your referring to 'marron' (yabbies, inland cray) you had better have your licence, as the inspectors are down here in droves atm.
(did not think creatures could be a drink)
