G'Day all,
I'm thinking of upgrading my current gps, which is on a pda, and has a seperate gps receiver which sits on dash.
Both of these need charging and often. I currently run tom tom, and also have co-pilot 6.
Was looking to get a newer device, any advice on the best type to look for be appreciated.
I would like to be able to move it from vehicle to vehicle easily, so not hard wired or fitted be best, also my only winge with tom tom is it wont go off road.
Any pointers on best way to go?
Rgds
Ron

Ill second that, very easy to use and can be used offroad. Great using the MP3 player on rough tracks also. Not that I've tried but I wonder if the Bluetooth would give a live feed to my laptop that also has bluetooth using mapsource or oziexplorer

The bluetooth only works with the Mobile phone, you can not use the Nuvi 760 for moving maps but you can transfer tracks and waypoints to PC by using Ozi Explorer or Mapsource

Be wary of the map coverage. If you live or travel in regional or rural areas avoid any units that use Whereis (By Senis part of Telstra) mapping as the road coverage is poor.

Mr Pointyhead , What unit would you recommend for rural areas that does auto routing and also accept Shonky or Oztopo type maps

A bluetooth link would probably not be fast enough for that better to connect it by cable if possible
