G'day all - we are wanting to head to Horsham (Vic) for
Easter as there is a big Gem show there - apparently you can
camp on site - but that is probably all booked out by now by "those in the know" - I have emailed the two caravan parks in town - waiting on reply - but does anyone know about Green Lake camping? Is it suitable for small caravan - how close to Horsham - and is there anywhere else reasonably close to town (say even 15 - 20k or so) that ayone knows about? Sometimes the best
places are not listed in the guides or even on line sites -

GReen Lake is about 15k's from Horsham back towards
Ballarat, there is a caravan park there but the facilities are most likely rudimentary. And Green Lake really isnt a lake, hasn't been for years, I would look for somewhere else if I was camping that way, or stay with my Auntie.....

Julie Green Lake has been dry for several years and doesnt have a caravan park . If Horsham is booked out i would suggest Dimboola approx 30k west or Dadswells
Bridge 30k east
Stawell would be booked out because of the
Stawell gift
Halls Gap 80k away is a possibility also but very popular at
easter Brian (Horsham)
