I had two Tekonsha units fail in a month, the dealer replaced it with a Haymann Reece unit and it was fine. The Tekonsha needs to be set up for the pendulum to work and on some cars the most obvious mounting position does not allow the angle of the unit to work. The Haymann Reece unit i find works just as
well and is cheaper. My thoughts only , regards Michael.

Tekonsha doesn't sound familiar to me, but I do have a Prodigy electronic brake controller for the electric brakes on my camper trailer. Has no pendulum, and provided it's fitted within the angle range specified by the manufacturer, works like a beauty. It's proportional, so the braking force applied varies according to requirements, speed etc. I guess they all do that. Easy to adjust etc. Anyhow, I got
mine from Aussie Swag in
Brisbane, so you could either get one from them or get the details of the company/other distributors. I think the web site is www.aussieswag.com.au, and they'll have phone numbers on the site. Cheers.Russell S
