Happy Australian Day. Hi my wife and I are interested in the Tvans. I heard today about a yahoo website that has independent feedback from owners of the vans. I have looked on yahoo.com but can not find the site. Could be because of my lack of ability in searching the net. Is anyone able to give me the link to the site?
Cheers

If you haven't set your heart on the Tvan yet, have a good serious look at the Ultimate as well. Have owned our Ultimate since November and had considered the Tvan too. The interior setup, indoor kitchen and usable space inside the Ultimate won over SWAMBO - that was good enough for me. There is a bit of difference in setting up the campers but 5-10 minutes difference in time taken is nothing compared to the comfort we enjoy in the Ultimate. We have a 3 burner gas bbq easily set up in less than a minute for outdoor cooking too, so feel we have the best of both worlds. Most importantly I feel you should be convinced of the suitability of the camper for your style of camping. They are very similar in price but the style of comfort is really quite different, on a rainy day we can sit around the really comfortable lounge and reach for the fridge, bed just behind you, hmm, might have to book in a trip.
Cheers

After owning a Trak Shak camper for a few years and being an ardent student of camper design, I would have to agree with png62.

If I was really into outright tough track off roading where I was happy to forgo comfort and space and I was always in a hurry, I would pick a Tvan.

For ANY other situation, I would take the Ultimate.

Willie.

PS. Sorry, Andrewpam, you did not really want our opinions, but I could not help myself.

"I was happy to forgo comfort" Yeah, our pillowtop full innerspring Q/size mattress in our Tvan is sooooooooo comfortable. But would have to say it really is only a two person camper. Not dissapointed so far.

Hi guys, I wanted a Tvan for a few years, we made do with an Aussie Swag for a couple of years before we finally got a Tvan, the Tvan is far superior to tow and will not bump steer the towing vehicle, if you have towed a variety of trailers over corrugated roads, once you experience this, you would have to agree that this feature alone could be a life saver. The MC2 suspension set up in Track trailers is something that has to be experienced, very impressive. The Yahoo owners group is very helpful and a good resource, some very ingenious owners tweaks and modifications. Camper Trailers are a matter of wants, needs and compromises, I don't think there is one that would meet mine or anyone elses 10 out of 10, but for the time being the Tvan works for us. Cheers Kanga1.

I have had a T-van for 2 years now and it is great. The service from track is also terrific I bent part of my rear hinge in an accident and when i rang for replacement parts they sent me a second hand part as good as new "no charge" except postage. A mate has had his entire kitchen replaced after he damaged it in an accident for free also Brian
