Hiya Vic
*
Blue Rag Range to North Basalt Knob to Basalt Knob *
These tracks can be quite tricky and i'd look at tyres pressures here !
We have done this area extensively over the past few weeks, all river levels are down so shouldn't be an issue now...
Flies are now a bugger so a screen tent would be advised for eating etc etc..
Goodluck

Sure is, It'll be even nicer if the trees ever grow back. Man it must have been hot in the fires there.

looking at in/out on Blue Rag ,do you go the full length for the view ? as on the map the road looks to drop steeply

Vic,
As Warfer said.
Just got back from a 2 week run from
Mansfield (
Craig's Hut) to
Tom Groggin (
Dogman's Hut).
Camped at Pineapple Flat, Wonnagatta Valley,
Talbotville , Haunted Stream, Bentleys Plain and Dogmans Hut.
Interesting tracks:
Zeka Spur, Hearnes Spur, Bulltown Spur, Giddley/Orton Track, Native Cat Track. Day trip to Mt Pinnibar.
Tracks were all were dry and in reasonable nick. Some trees down but they had tracks around them or ramp over. Rivers were down. Seven vehicles and no dramas.

Were you with a group that had some tag along cars? If so we saw you and spoke to one of the chaps in a Disco on the Haunted Stream Track. They were all from NSW. We had stopped for lunch.
