Yee haa

Maybe a short lived yee ha but you know you take these moments when you can get them these days ...

A fellow employee of mine has a second job as station attendant at a BP fuel station at Hamilton in Brisbane.

He confirmed to me this morning, after txting me last night, that last night he changed the price of regular unleaded petrol from $111.9 to $118.9, and at the same time was instructed to drop the price of regular diesel from $119.9 to $117.9. Very strange world we live in hey!!!!

I noticed here in Calliope Yesterday that they put ULP up to $1.139/L and still left Diesel at $1.179/L. But by 5pm they had dropped the price of ULP to $1.099/L

Still cant work that one out. I filled up with Diesel anyway haha

Cheers Kev

Still about 12 cents difference though.

If you keep an eye on this site you will be able to see where the prices are going.
Australian Petrol prices are set by the Singapore price of petrol i believe.
Petrol price was heading above diesel but does appear now to be falling again.

Thats a good site to follow gbdid , based on that we got 200lt of petrol at a dollar with discount in melb (at base of weekly cycle) and that should tide us over till price comes back again.

Surely must be due again for the petrol verses diesel debate then :-)
I seem to recall petrol owners blowing their trumpets pretty loud a while back when the price difference was in their favour.

I drove past the local B P at Elanora on the Gold Coast at 11-00 am
today and Diesel and ULP were both $1-14.9 per litre, one of the
mysteries of life lol.

Cheers

Mogas 95 prices (ULP as we know it) have been increasing throughout the region over the past couple of weeks. The drivers appear to be production cuts at major refineries in the region in response to a decline in demand, coupled with a couple of refineries loosing some capacity.

Hasn’t affected diesel to the same extent….but be of careful what you wish for on that one!
