Hi

I have a 2006 Pajero with a factory towbar fitted. I believe it's rated towing capacity is 2500kg. I am looking at buying a caravan and included is a Hayman Reese Weight Distribution Hitch, happy days. However, I recall someone mentioning to me that the Mitsubishi hitch receiver is a different size to the HR WDH and therefore, if correct, I gather I can't use my existing factory towbar. Can anyone either confirm or deny this? Can I use my Mitsubishi factory towbar with HR WDH's?

I had a similar problem with my NP Pajero. The Hayman Reese corners are more square. All I did was to use an angle grinder to round the corners till it fitted and gave it a coat of paint afterwards. Hope this is of some help.

I have a 2007 NS and had the same problem as JanP. Did the same thing, shaved the corners, fits like it was suppose too, no probs towing.

In saying the, it fit my 1995 NJ paj perfectly before the modification.
