Hi All,

Trying to setup my solar charge controller to charge the batteries for there optimum performanace.

I have 2 Delkor M31 (100ah) batteries connected to a Powertech MP 3129 Solar charge controller with 3 64watt Unisolar panels connected.

Could someone advise me what settings i should have the bulk charge, float charge values set to on the charge controller which would give the best performance with these batteries.

Cheers
Steve

Steve. Most solar controllers that I'm familiar with have preset charging algorithms built in. Normally you only need to select which type of battery you are charging: flooded, sealed or gel. Gel batteries being the standout as they should never see more than 14.1V whereas others can receive much higher voltages, particularly if they are 'equalising". Sometimes this is done by setting 'jumpers' and sometimes a rotary switch.
If your charger has to be configured in detail, then you battery dealer or battery website could help.

I think you will find that the Powertech is factory set at 14.4V so it should be allright .
It comes with an instruction book so it should help you.

Did some research over night and found the specifications for the Delkor Batteries,
Bulk Charge is 14.4 and Float is 13.5
Charge controller was on 14.3, moved up one notch.
