Anyone got any ideas on places to camp around byron - not actually in byron - but perhaps a nice spot around brunswick heads or around?

Have lined up few days at the bluesfest and now thinking about options for camping that arent actually in bryon but near enough...

Flat rock is good, also Lake Ainsworth at Lennox Head. There is also camping at the Football grounds in Mullumbimby, right on the Brunswick river, but I don't think there is power.Where ever you stay you better book now.

We've enjoyed staying at the Mullumbimby Leagues Club football ground. And there is power available for sure.

We like the idea of a nice 15-20 minute drive to the chaos known as Byron Bay and the ability to escape back to some peace & quiet.

Let's not forget that Mullumbimby is a beaut little town in it's own right. Great pubs, cafes & a good place to stock up.

Broken Head Camping Ground 4km south of Byron Caravan Pk, 5km south of Bryron, 10km north of Lennox Head has to be the best location. Less facilities than Lennox though. Behind sand dune from beach, nestled into a little rainforest
At southern end of Tallows Beach

Thanks all for comments.

Caravan Parks all booked out as expected. Broken head, evans head etc.

So - then any recommendation on National Parks or
other camp grounds worth checking??

Bangalow, Lismore, Ballina, Wardell, Evans Head, Broadwater, Woodburn.
Try Farmstay as well, place add in Northern Star Newpaper (Lismore/ Goonellabah in Tel book) or North Coast Echo newspaper
Try Nat Parks, but remember how much it rains at Byron and hinterland.
