I am planning a trip for a weekend in Feb. 2 adults and 2
young kids, 4wd and tent. Just wondering if there are any experts on Murramarang NP who can advise which
campsite is best. We don't need power etc and would like the most "natural" site.

I've been going there for nearly 25 years. The best spot to
camp is Depot Beach. Next best is Durras Lakes North (the van park with the
shop has a great
camping area in a classic bush setting... not your typical van park camping at all).
Pebbly Beach is OK as
well (although you may need to book). North Durras and Depot you can just roll up.

Thanks Stinz that's great. What is the situation with wood fires there (assuming no fire ban)?

Travel down to South Durras and continue past Murramarang Resort on the Old Coast Rd., to
North Head. National Park
camping area right next to secluded beach and rocks for kids to explore, just don't
camp under the gum trees.
regards, Mike.
