"Wilsons Promontory National Park
(9 Feb) Due to a fire burning in the park, this park is closed until further notice.The fire is two kilometres north of
Sealers Cove in the Cathedral Range. It has the potential to impact on
Tidal River over the coming days under northerly winds and that's the main reason for closing the park. The fire could also cut off the single road access to
Tidal River if it continues to build. Parks Victoria is asking visitors to leave the park now as a precautionary measure."
Just walked up the ridge behind our place, fire is going hard on east coast of Prom.
Weather here is variable winds 5-10kmh 16deg C, RH 50%.
Gonna need a few aircraft to pull this up!
