Hi Everyone,

Coles is going to donate all of the profit made this Friday (13th) at all
Of its stores nationally, to the Red Cross bush fire appeal. (Press
Release is attached.)

Even though this is a PR exercise as much as a good deed, nonetheless it
Could end up being several million dollars worth of help.

So if you have some shopping that needs doing this week, please consider
Doing it on Friday at Coles!

and a link just so you don’t think it’s real

Cheers Craig.

While I applaud them giving money to a good cause, excuse the cinic in me from suggesting this this will do diddly to Coles bottom line whilst potentially earning them millions in extra turnover from people who would otherwise shop elsewhere.

To me it's nothing short of disgusting that they use others suffering to pad their own bottom line.

I agree

If they were real about wanting to help they would simply donate money or products. This idea that they will donate ONLY if you shop there is nothing but a PR stunt.

Here are some other ways that folk can help: Site Link

Woolworths/Safeway are also donating Friday's profits to the appeal, and NAB is giving ten grand to anyone who lost their house and had a mortgage with that bank.
