more flooding on the channel country

big rains north of windorah are going to put a bit more flow in the old cooper.
up near muttaburra had around 100mm, longreach had around the same and stonehenge had over 160mm the other night.
the barcoo is also comming down.
should be interesting. cheers

Pity so much water goes into the desert and evaporates. Although the pastorlaists will certainly be smiling.
The southern states D E S P E R A T E L Y want water into the Darling system which flows into the Murray. Another year with below average rainfall will mean bankruptcy for many irrigators and goodness knows what damage to communities that rely on the Murray for drinking water.

1st crossing going sth from Muttaburra was at 4.8 yesterday 8am ,, was at 4.5 at 10 am today and at 3.30 pm today at 4.3 ,, falling but still no way in or out by road ,, waiting to see how it runs ,SWMBO in Windorah , will see if she can get back home as the water moves south.

i take that as your mrs in in windorah i am down at the sun farm if she wants to drop in for a yarn, the road to longreach opened today for how long i dont know.
the water at jundah was .4 under the bridge and rising quick so not sure how long before we are cut off at windorah. cheers
