Hi all,

I´m looking for some information about Chinaman Well and Milmed Rock track. Trek notes, way points, points of interest etc. just everything for a trouble free trip.

Cheers

We went in from Hopetoun, last year. There is a spot for camping about 1/2 way in on the Milmed Rock track. There are some good dunes, and there is a "Big Dune" ( name ?), that you can walk up and have a look around. We came out not too far from Murrayville.

Here is Vivien's blog

I have just been paging through the Drive Out, Trails guide and it is amazing how many new trails have been opened during the last year. Interestingly I had a prospective trail owner contact me regarding the design of his trail, he said I was too expensive and that he would be able to charge the enthusiasts a lot more than I proposed. He was also not keen on an enviromental impact study. He suggested that I visit his farm and "get drunk at my expense and we can discuss your fee". I told him to find someone else who would tell him what he wanted to hear and secondly that we don't support people or trails who believe that getting drunk is everyones ambition in life. And it will be the nice trip I think so....

Milmed Rock Track is quite interesting, we towed a camper through with no problems, quite deep sand in places.
Big Billy Bore on the Nhill - Murrayville Road is a good camp spot.
