It does say in the second paragraph that Oz will be among the first to get it.

There was a story in one of the 4X4 mags a couple of months ago about them. They also said VW is likely to out sell Toyota as the biggest seller of cars in the world in the near future, that now will depend on the big financial crunch we are having I suppose.

Cheers Bruce.

"They also said VW is likely to out sell Toyota as the biggest seller of cars in the world in the near future"

That would be a case of back to the future, VW was the biggest seller of cars after Ford & GM for many years.

Nice looking rig Doug
I love the idea of tools in the tailgate, maybe for private owners it could be something like recovery gear etc.
cheers Colin

Reprinted from the site:
"Under the bonnet, new common rail TURBO DIESEL engines will be used in the Volkswagen Pick-up Concept to ensure it is powerful, yet clean and efficient and meets the necessary emissions requirements"

We all have opinions to offer, but as I've previously driven a Diesel VW van, I think I can suggest they will be good for what they will be bought for.
