Morning all,
been doing some repairs to the electrics on our new project caravan and I had to replace all the globes in the clearance lights as someone had previously put 24v globes in them. Now all the clearance lights work , BUT BUT, I now have a glow coming from each of the lights, indicators ,brakes etc. Any ideas where to look first before it goes the the sparky's? Thanks unc.

would suggest that you test your earth wire as it may not be in the correct location ,or you may not have any earth at all.
The other thing to look for is a short in the wiring such as two wires touching .
These are just my suggestions as learned from experience.
Good luck Bushy..

Cheers Bushy, there is a dodgy looking earth underneath the van, will re do that first then see what happens, but there is also a bunch of nasty looking wires all twisted toghether under there too.I'll attack that one afterwards! thanks Unc

Uncle: I had a problem with indicator and brake lights (I think it was) coming on at the same time. I had a look in my trailer plug and sure enough, two wires touching. Could be similar

Uncle,
Does your van have any white lights on the rear??

If not, the answer is NO you don't need reversing lights.

Even if there are clear lenses at the rear I don't think that reversing lights are obligatory on a van of that age, but if you are concerned check with the relevant authorities in your state.

Disco.
