a group of us from our 4wd club are meeting at cairns to do cape york, if we don't have to kayak it, we will have our caravan in tow and are going to need to store it at cairns for a couple of weeks. can anyone offer suggestons?
also a reasonably priced caravan park in or around cairns to stay as we are pensioners and the club is looking at a park but at $38 a night ouch.
any suggestion will help.

There is a storage place for caravans etc along Mulgrave Road Cairns (fence & locked),& a Caravan Park at Fishery Falls (South of Cairns) & another nice Caravan Park at Ellis Beach ( North of Cairns) not sure of prices though. Should be able to Google them.

Hi
There are a number of storage places and contacts on web.

If you want to go further afield Mount Carbine Caravan park gives free storage for those going to Cape , maybe for other activities as well. We will be leaving our van there when we go to cape in June/July

Some people leave their vans at the Lakeland CP. That would let you take your van up to Cook Town.

just one a 19 footer.
the rest are bringing their camper trailers on the track, we are going to swag it.

has it stopped raining up there?

it looks on the news it will be some time before the roads will be repaired and opened up again.

stay dry and send the rain our way.
