What happened to follow-up emails?

Hi all,
I'm sure that I used to get email notification from this
forum if anyone posted a follow-up to a reply I make within a thread.
It doesn't seem to be happening anymore... an email alerts you to the fact that someone on the
forum is responding to your post. Even if you're not on-line, at least it alerts you next time you connect.
Am I mistaken in this or has something changed?

Hi Gerry P, have you taken the tick out of the box: "
Forum responses by email" in your profie? As members we can choose whether we receive the emails or not by ticking that box, I wouldn't think it would be a 'members only' thing.

I haven't done anything that I'm aware of. I've had a good look and cannot find a "profile" as such, or any other preferences type facility.
Maybe it is a 'members only' thing?

Hi again Deanna,
I take that back. I have just found the little 'edit profile' icon top right.
The email notification box is ticked.
I am happy to report that your reply generated an email, so it seems it is only follow-ups to my responses to other threads that appear not to work.

Yes, all seems to be working now. Am getting all the follow-ups and replies to posts.
Sorry for not getting back earlier, but unfortunately some of us don't get much chance while at work (although, I must confess, that's where I am now).

I have noticed that the order seems to be thread/answer/followup.
If you post a followup to an answer, you only seem to get emails about other followups to that answer, not any other answers to that thread by email?
If you post an answer, you will get emails about other answers?
That sound right?

yes, I've also noticed that
My settings were checked and found to have the 'correct ticks' in the 'correct box's' too.
So your not alone, it's just a mystery ??

I've noticed the lack of emails to replies too, haven't yet worked out whether it is replies or follow ups that don't generate email notifications.
It used to work ok, ie: if you posted anything it notified you of any further responses to the whole thread, doesn't seem to do that anymore.
