***In 2008, more than 60,000 motorists lost their licences across NSW, with the current system stripping drivers of three demerit points for exceeding a speed limit by less than 15 kilometres per hour.
Mr Stoner said 629 drivers lost their licences each day

Full story here News Yahoo***

This is quite unbelievable,Love to know how many still drive ???.Do you think they are rewarding bad behavior or do you think its right !

Anyone know the stats Australia wide ????

Dont condone people being pinged for doing 6-7km's over limit also.

Cheers

At lest in NSW you are allowed a 10 % margin. I also think truck drivers etc should have extra pionts as they do at lest 10 times the ks of av motorists.

There's no 10% margin, It's up to the police officer at the time. I agree about the truck drivers but the authority's reckon that they are suppose to be professional drivers and should drive accordingly.
Cheers Dave....

Your initial response suggest's the age of your photo is correct (childish dummy spit) now from how i understand it youve been here long enough to know you only need to contact David through email.

You hav the right to your opinion,Its a picture from a latest Horror movie,I guess you guys never watch them..

Now if i am asked to remove it i will without any problems but not by someone that acts like a Nazi Dictator !

Settle Nudie,

It's grotesque surely, but you'll see worse in the streets, Porky Girls in skin tight clothing, big fat ugly bastards in tight fitting shorts and a singlet that is 8 sizes too small etc.

The difference is between reality and fiction. I can switch off to nonsense fiction movies, but the REAL fugliness turns my rarely delictae tummy.

Cheers,

Jim.

G'day Warfer,

The cynic in me says that the authorities are realising that they're losing 60000 potential donors to the Gov't coffers.

No licence = no driving = no potential fines (at least if they stop driving while without a licence)

Also Warfer, shouldn't your sig be :-

"Beauty is in the eye of the pie holder"?

Sorry. I'll leave now... :-))

I too have no licence for 6 months. I broke the law by doing 113 in a 100 zone out past Esk. Three times i got done 70 in a 60 one of them coming up the range. The Esk one was over 4 years ago now but due to the time frame of being due for those points back. I had two months left to go before I had most of them back driving around like a grandma never use the mobile while driving as we spent lots of money with incar kits. never drink drive you got to drink to do that. I have the experience of rally and 4wd around the country.
Just before Christmas and just before our 6000km caravan trip half way around Aust I was turning left at a stop sign with a fully loaded trailer and was booked for doing a rolling stop. So now I walk down to the local shop and rely on Mother in-law once a week to go food shopping in town. We don't have public transport out of town but lucky the kids have a school bus. What realy cheeses me off is the way others drive and get away with it. i have never caused a car accident and I feel im on house arrest and get jacked off when I run out of milk half way through cooking something. Hubby works away a fair bit as a truck driver so it leaves me on my own. Im not game to drive because there are so many idiots out there and knowing my luck some wank would plough into me. I broke the law and paying for it big time.

Old Girl
If having your licence was that important couldn't you have taken the option of 1point for 12months so you did not have to loose it?

I just don't condone anyone speeding or for that matter having disregard for any laws. If you think 6 - 7 km/ph over the limit is a bit rough I believe in SA it's only 2 km/ph. Those that lose their licence had choices to make at the time of driving. They obviously made the wrong choice(s) and in doing so paid the price with a loss of their licence. Seems fair to me.

Yeah your right...but even if they did...all you have to do is take your eyes off your speedo for a second while haveing a quick glance at the road and you might creep over ithe limit!

we should have a system like they do have in Germany . You actually start of with 0 points on you license - when you do something wrong - you get points on your license - you can then Work your points off by attending driving schools - or day classes on driving and safety to get those points taken back off .... - these are full day "Punishments" and a little more fair to the general public
