Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone's done Black Mountain road near Cairns recently. We've had a fair bit of rain, as you do in the wet season!, so was wondering if it's still passable. I've got a GU Patrol with a 2" lift and all terrain tyres.

Thanks

just to add if the road is open it is an easy but very scenic drive.
so your patrol will handle it with no problems.

It has been very wet up here lately so you would probably only be able to go as far as the Quaid road, after that it would be very wet and slippery through to Julatten. I wouldn't recommend it in any vehicle until things dry out. Regards Rob
