Looking for something reasonable walking distance to MCG. Don't need 5 star or even a recommendation on a tram stop from the ground

didiaust,
Georgian Court Bed & Breakfast hotel was reasonably priced, breakfast in dining room included..its in George Street East
Melbourne which is just a walk to the MCG.
City Edge Apartments and Eastern Town House Apartments are in Albert Street which is a couple of blocks further to walk but still close by and quite good.
Mantra on Jolimont is very close almost right at the MCG and should be good.
Birches Apartments a few blocks but easily within walking distance as is Albert Heights and Treasury City Edge Apartments.
Just get onto Wotif for
Melbourne...East
Melbourne and CBD and you should find something that suits you.

Travelodge at Southbank is pretty good - walking distance, or tram stop away from MCG and surrounds. Have good specials as
well - try the wotif site or ones like that - or just put Travelodge in google.

Ditto re the Georgian Court - top location - been there several times - very handy to the G and everything else - we walk to the CBD when there - 'older' ambience - just like Fawlty Towers without Manuel, Basil, the Major et al. - most rooms have ensuite - some not. Tariff quite reasonable.

George Powlett Appartments. They are clean and reasonably cheap and there is
parking of sorts. They don't serve meals or alcohol. Not as good as the Vic but still okay.

Bob
