I wonder how its systems would go after a good dose of outback dust and sand?
As Jeremy Clarkson showed on Top Gear a couple of seasons ago, Brabus make incredibly powerful vehicles but the transmission electronic systems cant keep up with all the torque their things produce.

He tested a 2 door Merc with over 1000nm of torque and the poor computer system had no idea what to with it all.
I still wouldn't mind one though!!! :)

They have taken a very reliable 4wd and turned it ino something you would not want to take off the freeway.
The G wagon has never been over endowed with power, but it didnt need this kind of work over.
Another 20-30 HP over stock would be more than adequate.

It's only a machine , it has no feelings, and what's wrong with showing what you can do with technology when it's at your disposal. besides they only done a few, I don't think all the 1000s of Gs will mind ,
I usually find that people will knock something when they like it but can't afford it, while in the Caravan Pk at El Arish Qld last year a huge big 5th wheeler came in , the first words another bloke said ...What the hell would you want something like that, I said to him , well if you can afford it why not , you only live once and besides it's their home , just that it's on wheels. ..

Do you post things up and expect everyone to drool over it?

"Its only a machine ,it has no feelings"
Did I say it had feelings?

"what's wrong with showing what you can do with technology when it's at your disposal. besides they only done a few"

I got nothing against technology,in fact Im all for it,but not when its mismatched.
I would rather have the V12 in its Merc body where it can be used more safely

Putting a high performance engine in a old brick is like putting a winch on a Lambo

Doug

My trailer would become airborne behind that beast...lol

No doubt they have refined the utilitarian specs of the G-wagon.

The old ones were very ordinary but as long as you weren't in a hurry they would go anywhere.

Cheers

PS Is it still raining up there?

Drop a V12 into Tom Thumb. Now that would be good.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy
