I am asking if anyone has had a reserve tank upgrade from 35 litre to 90 l and what other changes needed doing to carry extra weight?

The largest commercially available sub tank I know of for a Patrol is the one from 4WD Systems.....81 litres. I have one of these.

If you fit one, you may need to factor in the extra weight when working out your suspension. You may need to fit a "boomerang" shaped upper trailing arm to allow the rear axle to fully droop without fouling the rear end of the tank..... I have fitted one of these; available on ebay.

I'm assuming this tank will fit the 2007 Patrol..... I don't think the chassis has changed much; but mine is a series II (2000) model.
