With two 4.5kg gas cylinders on the side of the C/T, do they need protection from the sun, or are they OK?

Bluemetaldaisy,
I don't know of any gas cylinders suffering from sun burn. :-))
When I am away I carry 2x 9kg gas bottles on the roof rack of the Troopie and they have not suffered from being in the sun.

Bluemetaldaisy,
The only thing is if you have filled them late afternoon or early morning, as they heat up during the day they will probably vent a bit of gas, as long as your not standing next to them smoking they should be fine.
Cheers Dave...

Ta. The gas expanding was precisely what I was worried about.

If the gas expands it's better off in an open situation rather than in some sort of box, Even if you built a shade thing for it,it could still vent because of air temp.
