Check out Horseshoe Bend camping area just out of Dimboola in the Little Desert National Park.

Try a state forest in the area, you can camp for free in them

Skippy

Have you heard of Camps Australia 4 or 5 ( if our yet )
This book is brilliant.
Basically all camping and rest spots anywhere in Oz are indicated, with it's comprehensive legend, and some "blurb" of each spot..
Well worth checking out
You can get a copy at basically camping shop or book store.

Cheers
Bucky

ps have a look at Lake Albacutcha (spelling) or Lake Hindmarsh... they basically directly above Dimboola... Not much water there but still a great spot

Or get it here on ExplorOz and gain points towards your next purchase or membership renewal. Camps 5 is out now, including here.
