Hi, tomorrow finally getting away on holiday. Driving inland to
Rockhampton from
Melbourne and back down the coast over 6 glorious weeks.
Have any of you
well informed folks visited the Mount
Hay gemstone tourist park or stayed at the caravan park on-site? If you have was it a nice relaxing place to stay for a couple of days? We are travelling with two dogs and have a fairly large van (Jayco Stirling).

Stayed there a few years back. Nice facilities. Not much shady spots as space was limited. They may have improved since then.

Well worth a visit,steep getting in there you may be better to stay in town.
