Thanks for that. Passing us out to the east at this time, we had 145mm of rain for 24 hrs and nice stiff breeze. Looks like the weather forecasters are getting this one right and if you are down the Coast around Yeppoon you may get a blow. Lets hope it can put some rain where needed though. Cheers Tony

Thanks for the thoughts. Cairns has come through unscathed, and we are now out of the warning area, so we got lucky on this one. Yesterday was a bit wet, but nothing different to a monsoonal day. Currently the sun is coming out, and there's not a breath of wind. Looks like it may get nasty further south past mackay, and even SEQ may start feeling the effects on monday. Lets hope it runs out to sea as it travels down the coast.

cheers

Thanks for thinking of us.

Bit of an anticlimax here at Mission Beach, so far we've had only 92mm in the 24 hrs to 9am today. Couple of minor gusts durinig the night. At the moment I'm looking at blue sky to the west.

If as predicted it gets as far south as Bundaberg and crossed the coast as a category 4, we're looking at a major disaster.
Just hope it turns east and fizzes out.

From the forecast it could be a bit entertaining here in Emu Park tomorrow. We don't have a lot laying about but will be doing a tour of the yard shortly.

Thanks for that, it is just starting to rain heavily in Mackay now.

Tides tomorrow are a little high, over 6m so storm surge could also be a problem.

Have done all our prep work and let the elderly neighbors across the road know if they need help to just call.

Have a good one

Thanks Old Girl

Had a spit in the rain gauge this morning. All fairly quiet here at present.
