Satellite phones

Can anyone help? I was reading a forum on Sat phones last year and the name of a company came up which sells re-furbished second hand phones.I have lost that name and would like to contact them again.

Grey hair is hereditary, you get it from children. Baldness is caused by watching the Wallabies.

What about a new Thuraya 2510 / 2520 Satphone. Ron Monn did an infomercial for them in4X4 mag last month and said it worked well.

The Thuraya only connects to a single satellite over Singapore.

Great if you're in the desert in WA - a total waste of money if you're in a valley in South East Australia - and that's based on actual testing.

But Mike, 4X4 mag, Ron Moon said it worked great all the way across from Esperance ( WA ) to Eden (NSW) over a four week period - " I had no trouble with the phone picking up the satellite and getting full signal strength everytime he used it"

Ron says it's "one hell of a good deal "

Are you casting nasturtions on Ron's integrity ?

Willie.

I've only tested it in mountainous country in NSW.

My experience doesn't match his experience.

You would be quite accurate if you said "my Globalsat works anywhere in Australia".

There is a couple available in the Trader, Iridiums.
