Awesome... glad to hear they are OK.
The article said they were intending to use
Dunns Track... I have not been able to find that on any of my maps (elecrtonic & paper). can anybody enlighten me as to it's location please?
All my maps show named "roads"; or cleared lines that appear to go nowhere.

I had only been in Australia for a couple of weeks when I ventured out that way in my FJ Holden. All I can remember of that journey are the forests and the incredible straight roads across
Lake Grace and
Lake King. Further on it was very isolated. I see from recent maps that I must've passed through Frank Hann National Park to
Ninety Mile Tank and then on to the
Coolgardie Esperance Highway. I do recall wondering where the hell I was going to end up.....LOL

Willem, where is the FJ now? Disregarding the current financial crisis... the old FJ (in good nick) would be worth a few 'bob' now!

Dunno Fred
I swappd it for dinner, bed and breakfast at Madura Motel on the Nullarbor soon afterwards. It threw a main bearing seal and the cost was goung to be $100 to repair. Seeing as the old bus only cost $50 plus a few extra I decided to let it go. Yeah...in hindsight......LOL

Nice big EO window sticker in the background.
Glad to see they are ok and did all the right things to end up safe.
