Maybe you will need the jack to allow you to get the tracks underneath

I have read on this
forum that the use of exhaust jacks on turbo engines may cause problem due to turbos not liking the exhaust back pressure created by the jack.
If this is true and your 4wd is a turbo diesel, then maybe max trak or similar is better for you.

I have one and i find its great on sand as everyone reports......on mud mixed results (just make sure no ones anywere near under the car as it will slip). In mud we use in ontop of the spare tyre.
In saying that, i let a mate use it on his car and he somehow snagged the compressor valve making a hole....i havent even tried fixing it yet. I would probably prefer getting a bag with only the exhaust option...less snag points.
