The road conditions section says "
The Knob to Mooloowatana" CLOSED due to wash-aways and use CAUTION "
Lyndhurst to The Knob" and "
The Knob to Mt Hopeless".
I'm hoping to go from the Strz to Mooloowatana via Mt Freeling HS in a few weeks time, so I'm wondering what or where
THE KNOB is. I can't find it on any map.

Yeah,
The Knob has me puzzled too. Not in Natmap Raster 250K
Drove from Mooloowatana in 2002 last. The road between Mooloowatana and
Terrapinna Waterhole was severely washed out then and Low Range and careful wheelplacement was needed. I don't think the road is mantained at all. Drove from Mt Hopeless past Mooloowatana on way to
Balcanoona last year and that road was in good condition.

I'm guessing here too, but on both the 250k and 50k maps, theres a place called "Nob Well" which is where the track from
Moolawatana and Mt Freeling join the Strez. I think its the one thats closed. Heres the 250k map:
