Can anyone give me info on camping at
Bendemeer?
Either at the
Rest area or the showground or is there a better alternative close bye.

Lots of local controversy the last few months about
free camping at
Bendemeer. Most of it has been generated by the caravan park owners at Bendy. Council has approved a limited (5?) number of
free camping sites and sign posted the appropriate area which is somewhere between the rodeo ground/showground and the caravan park I believe. Depending on the size of your rig (small vans/campers/slide ons) there are also a couple of reasonable spots on the river, about 200mtrs north of Bendy on the
Bendemeer to Kingstown Rd.

The showground turn off is beside the caravan park has brick
toilet block with sensor active light a good free spot
