That route is a major gravel road being suitable for 2wd cars if taken slowly. There are a few dips & dry causways which of course can flood after rain. It's a spectacular drive well worth taking.

I'm pretty sure someone took their 19' Bushtracker on it with no problems when we were in the area - maybe they will be on line later to confirm. We didn't take the drive due to a short time frame in the area. Loved the whole Northern Flinders area.

Very easy driving that you can travel on with anything. I took an AU Falcon on there several years ago and it was better than the Blanchetown to Mannum road. I'm sure it's still fairly well maintained. There are some good tracks in the Flinders if you want to 4x4.

Yep - was like a "Walk in the Park" for us and our 19' Bushtracker in April 2006. 80 series TLC tug, not even turbo'd at the time! Just cruising through with all due care. Even went into look at the look out on the north side. Had to use LR 2nd at one point on that litle track in though.
Treat it with the driving care and speed for the conditions of the day for your rig and you should enjoy!
Cheers - Mobi

Great drive, and well worthwhile - especially if you're after an easy run. We did it a couple of years ago in the Forester no probs.
