Been told at work, by another 4x4 traveller, that there are no more permits given out to the Calvert Ranges.
If this is correct, it may just put a dampener on our up coming CSR and
Kimberley trip
Cheers Bucky

Bucky,
the best bet is to fire an email off to the 4 wheel drive association of Australia who administer the permits. There were rumblings last year about adding protection overlays and caveats to some of the sites at the Calverts but nothing about reinstating the ban on travel to the area. It's news to me.
Cheers Mick

Hi Bucky,
Permits are given out but not automatically.
First you need to get your CSR permit. Once you have that you can apply for the
Calvert Range access permit.
The details of how to get your Calvert permit are in the CSR permit pack.
cheers
Phil
