Is this the bees knees for getting around the bush or better left to a bogged M.C.G car park?

Like bums everyone has opinions..

Lots of people like to 'drive' the car, not let it do it for you.

There are some nightmare storys about ABS in the bush too.

Totally Up to yourself, me, I like to drive the car.

Yes Truckster driving the car is what is the most enjoyable and challenging. At the rate of advancement, technology and electronics it would be frightening to assume the standard equipent on a 180 series landcruiser in the year 2015.

Personally I like to drive the car too. That's why I like a manual. When the new Prado was released, our local dealer had just returned fom a jaunt around Alice trying them out and he said it was simply amazing (Dealer talk? maybe) For someone who hasn't had a great deal of 4by experiance, it might be the greatest thing. It is really personal choice.Alpaca

Get someone to disconnect the flashing light and chimeing bell that goes off to tell you you now need to select first low range and push the brake pedal yourself!
Then drive like "normal"

My 2003 Patrol has Driver Assist Technology.
It's a fuzzy-logic system, and fits quite nicely between my ears.

My 93 Isuzu MU has driver assist, not always appreciated except when we stop and it makes lunch for me, although she would beg to differ as to the value of it.
Mounted neatly in the passenger seat, but it can be noisy there, would prefer somewhere more out-of-sight!!

Matt.

I have a similar model of driver assist as Matt M, but it's a newer model with plenty of room for expansion of the fuzzy - logic system that Josh mentioned!!
