Hi
In the local paper is advertised a coleman 3 way fridge freezer. I did not think such an animal ever existed. I think I have seen Coleman 3 way fridge but never a fridge freezer. I suspect the seller has made a mistake. Can anyone verify their existance and if so are they any good?
thanks Kc

Waeco were advertising a 3way compressor fridge late last year...
They abused me by phone and email when i tried to buy it
They removed it from there website when i complained to fairtrading and accc about thier false advertising.....
Mobicool do make a compressor 3-way ,BUT, I apparently they are dangerous as it is possible for the compressor to "spark"

Look here.
Mr Google is your friend.
Whether this type of fridge is "any good" depends on how you are intending to use it. I had one for many years. On 240 v it was excellent. On 12v it was crap. On gas it was very good, PROVIDED THAT the unit was perfectly level. I had two line levels glued to the lid. It is best used (IMHO) if you're camped under a gum tree for a couple of days (or longer), and you can run it on gas.
There are lots of threads on this site concerning this type of fridge.

...and running it on gas in the vehicle whilst you are mobile is extremely unsafe and potentially lethal

Hi George M
I already have a Chescold fridge freezer but cannot find a COLEMAN freezer even when googling. The add specifically states COLEMAN brand....hence the question. Does a COLEMAN 3 way fridge FREEZER actually exist? In case you are wondering I have tried to phone seller but no answer yet.

Hi kc
Now you've got me stumped! The only thing I can think of is that:
. it's a fridge/freezer which Colemen has rebadged
. it's a Coleman fridge/freezer from a caravan - it may be an upright model, rather than a "chest" model".
Good luck!

You wouldn't beleive it . I just got onto sellers mobile and they have left a message gone away for 2 weeks and uncontactable. The add only came out yesterday!

Hi there,
We inherited a Chesgold 3 way fridge from nana, and she used to use it as a freezer, i guess she just turned the temp up to high for that reason, although we have never done that.
