Hi there
Purchased a jayco dove 8 months ago (second hand) 2006 model, and have not used the fridge on gas yet, tried it this arvo, and there was a fair bit of heat coming out the vent at the back of the fridge (from the outside of the van), so turned it off.
It lit ok, no problems, but I hadnt turned the fridge on at all (240v) first as advised on here, so would there be a fair bit of heat coming from the flue because it had to work hard to cool the fridge down?

Yep they do throw out a bit of heat when you crank them up(temp down)
Try turn the temp up a bit they seem to run better

Thanks for that Stu,
And how long should it take for the fridge to start cooling down? I know with 240v it takes ages - up to 2 hours, but then runs fine, is gas the same?
